We have developed a one-day leadership seminar based on the Meaning of Careful. The seminar inspires groups of healthcare leaders to explore the positive messages in the book. We aim to help these leaders plan and commit to improvements in the care of both patients and staff.
By bringing together a group of leaders from your hospital - all of whom have so much to gain from improving care - we cause a rapid transformation of their relationship to the challenges they face. The leaders discover that their problems are shared - and have shared solutions. They also discover they have an appetite - both collectively and individually - for transformation in the care of both patients and staff.
The seminar starts with some 'pre-work' - reading the book and registering 'leadership challenge' on this website. The seminar itself lasts one working day during which participants work together on ways to solve their challenge using the concepts in the Meaning of Careful. They also work together to see how solving one challenge has a positive impact on another.
After the seminar, we can provide individual or group work to maintain momentum and provide further advice and coaching.
